How Do I Recognize Abuse and Maltreatment?

Cornell University encourages you to report any and all concerns, even in the absence of obvious disclosures or signs of abuse. Please follow the reporting instructions below.

Cornell University's Whistleblower Protection Policy protects all individuals from retaliation when they make a report in good faith.


What Do I Do If I Suspect or Know About Abuse or Maltreatment?

Parents and Guardians:

An incident report must also be filled out here.


Other Incidents:

Other incidents, including any incidents of illness and injury, that occur in youth programs must be reported here

Mandated Reporters:

Cornell University's policy does not replace any obligations that New York State Mandated Reporters have under state law. Those individuals considered Mandated Reporters are obligated to follow this policy and follow their obligations under New York state law to report to the Statewide Register for Child Abuse and Maltreatment.
