Program Directors Advisory Committee:

Moving forward, the Children and Youth Safety Office will be collaborating closely with an advisory group of program directors to ensure the effectiveness and continuous improvement of Policy 8.8: The Protection of Minors and Abuse Reporting and CYS services. This group, alongside the Office of Risk Management and Insurance and the Office of General Counsel, will conduct an annual policy review to ensure the purpose and goals of the policy are still relevant, to determine if the policy is reflective of current state, federal, and local laws and regulations, and to determine what changes are required to improve the effectiveness or clarity of the policy, procedures, and training programs.

These collaborative efforts are aimed at fostering a safe and supportive environment for minors who participate in University-affiliated programs so that Cornell can uphold the highest quality of care and protection for young people.

We are recruiting program directors from the following areas to participate on this committee:

• All colleges and units that run youth programming
• Athletics
• Cornell Tech
• Cornell University Police
• Einhorn Center for Community Engagement
• Human Resources
• Office of Institutional Equity and Title IX
• Student & Campus Life
• Weill Cornell Medicine
